SPORTSMANSHIP

Heyday leagues are designed for adults who want to compete, stay active, and have fun. Healthy, spirited competition is encouraged, but overly aggressive, reckless, intimidating, or excessively physical play is unacceptable. Player safety and mutual respect always come first.

All participants, including players, spectators, staff, and officials, are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times. This includes respecting opponents, teammates, and officials, even when there is disagreement. Fighting, excessive arguing, vulgar or abusive language, bullying, harassment, threats, taunting, or any behavior that creates a hostile environment will not be tolerated. Teams are responsible for their players' conduct and must help de-escalate situations when emotions rise.

Officials serve as independent moderators and must be treated with respect. While officials may issue warnings, penalties, or ejections, players are expected to manage their own behavior.

Heyday reserves the right to review any conduct that violates this policy. Consequences may include warnings, ejection from a game, removal from a league without refund, or suspension from Heyday programs as both a participant and spectator.

At the end of the day, winning is secondary. The goal is to have fun, stay safe, and contribute to an environment where everyone feels welcome.
